18 Overlapping Detection Zones
The detector uses 18 overlapping zones to help identify the approximate location of a detected metal object. Multiple zones can produce alarms simultaneously, allowing security personnel to conduct a more focused secondary inspection when required.
256 Adjustable Sensitivity Levels
Each detection zone provides 256 adjustable sensitivity levels. Security staff can configure individual zones according to the requirements and conditions of the installation site, helping reduce unwanted alarms from permitted everyday metal objects.
Audible and LED Zone Alarms
When metal is detected, the ZK-D2180S produces an audible alarm while LED indicators on both sides display the relevant detection area. An alarm strength indicator is also provided on the control panel.
Passenger and Alarm Counters
Built-in infrared sensors count the number of people passing through the gate and record the number of alarm events. This information is displayed on the control panel to support entrance monitoring and security operations.
Password-Protected Operation
The detector’s settings are protected by a password to restrict configuration access to authorised personnel. It also performs a self-diagnostic check after power-on and does not require routine calibration under normal operating conditions.
Modular and Practical Design
The modular construction is designed to simplify assembly, maintenance and component replacement. The unit operates on a 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz power supply and has a rated power consumption of approximately 12W.
